William "Steve" Browning, 66 of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away on March 23, 2016 after a battle with biliary cancer. After a long career in graphic design, Steve retired in 2012 and pursued a lifelong passion for creating art - portraits, vivid watercolor and chalk landscapes - and composing and producing music. Steve was also an avid fisherman, jumping at the chance to get a pole in the water, be it stream, lake, or ocean. He too was known as a "gold digger" and "panhandler" and even built his own sluice! He played a mean lead guitar in multiple bands throughout his life, including The Iron Mountain Band and the Mecca Band, and took on the "upside-down strings" of the mandolin in recent years. He is survived by his sons, Jeremy and Adam, sisters, Leah and Bonnie, his partner Debbie, ex-wife Linda, and dear friends in Ohio (including many of the "McKees Lane Gangsters" who were known for their yearly rock n' roll festivals), and his 6 backyard chickens: Red, Omelet, Squawk, Lucy, Phillis, and Audrey Buffington. All of us miss him dearly.
